Update…
New part just arrived from my sponsor LTH.. its a very nicely made top plate to fit the RS24 shock to the Pk forks. It allows height adjustment up or down depending on which way you trun the plate.
This will be ideal to use with the new shocker when its ready to be re-installed.
Also in the pic is an uprated gear selector spring which we be tested at some point during the remainder of the season.
Suspension
After post race examination from Mallory I found that the front shock absorber had failed. No wonder it felt a little bouncy! The damper was 12 years old so I cant complain.
The upgrade to my current Malossi Rs24 is the Rs24/10. With the help of my new sponsor Ve Spares I have now received the new unit.
Designed purely with racing in mind this shock is adjustable for compression as well as rebound damping. Choice of springs are available and preload of course is also adustable.
The problem is with this unit is that it is primarily designed for the Piaggio Zip Sp and so the remote reservoir has to be repositioned as to not collide with the fork link and the leg itself.
Gaz Shocks kindly de-gassed the unit and now its off to Performance Tuning to have the shock measured and its oil graded. Once an hydraulic hose has been made the unit will be rebuilt to suit my and the bike’s weight. Hopefully a gain in corner speed and braking will be achieved. Lets see eh!
